Trump's Ukraine Moment

We need to stay out of it, but we won't

Here we are on the edge of a civil war and we’re headed to a war in the Middle East.

No one with any brains doesnt’ recognize what’s happening in a half-dozen cities isn’t a color revolution trying to set off a civil war. The last thing we need to do is ignore what’s happening there.

Make no mistake, I have applauded some of Trump’s economic agenda (I think think tariffs are a bad idea and nobody has proven me wrong yet). But I’m definitely in agreement with getting government off the back of the private economy through deregulation and balancing relationships with other countries. It would take a lot of work and guts to fully reform the American government so that it was no longer a burden to the American taxpayers, but it’s certainly looking like we’re not headed in that direction as of today.

I’m 95% down with his immigration agenda. I just know too many people who have been personally injured by illegal aliens who shouldn’t even be in the country. I support legal immigration and after about a five-year break for rebalancing, I’d like to see a liberalization of our immigration policy. We could take 2 million a year without straining the society, so long as people entered in an orderly manner. And while we might have closed the border, it looks like we’re not going to even get rid of the violent criminal aliens because the Trump admin found it too hard.

And I’ve clapped very loudly for the DOGE audit. The American people knew all along that the government was deeply corrupt and now we really KNOW that to be true. And we’re doing nothing about it going forward if we get sucked into a war.

I objected to the Big Beautiful Bill because it spends entirely too much money when we should be reducing spending by a LOT. We were bound to fight over it because some of us think it’s a great idea and some of us think it’s a horrible one.

But we shouldn’t be getting involved in a war anywhere, let alone the Middle East. I’m okay with the Israelis dealing with their own problems. Iran has been begging for this for decades and Israel warned that they would strike Iran to stop them getting a nuclear weapon. It’s stupid for Israel to allow their mortal enemies to get a nuclear weapon. They still don’t need our help. But here we are sending the Nimitz and lots of planes. And China just called for the evaculation of its citizens from Israel.

Oh, man! We’re just setting up World War III. All it takes is one attack on US assets in the area and, Katie Bar the Door, we’re headed to a total mess in no time flat. This is against Trump’s base and this is how he loses Congress in 2024.

Meanwhile, at home, we’re on the verge of a civil war. Can we fight two wars at a single time when we’re $34 trillion in debt? Can we fight Iran, China, and our own people (or invaders into our territory) all at the same time?

You had one job, Mr. Prsident, and you are taking your eyes off the ball to chase the next shiny object.

War is the health of the State and Trump realizes just how unhealthy the State is, so he’s going to distract us with a war.
