Going out of the Chena in to the Tanana you suddenly start hearing the granules of silt, sand and glacial flour hitting the sides of your canoe even more. much louder, than on the Yukon.

I've only ever gone from the Chena to the Tanana in a power boat, so I haven't heard it, but I'd say that's about right. The Tanana is the "Big Muddy" compared to the Yukon.

This was extremely interesting and something I was completely unaware of. So sad how an agency originally intended for good, can become such a mess…pretty much describes our whole government in general too! Thanks for subscribing to wyrdplay 😊

I think the Founders and Framers who weep if they saw how many opportunities we've let go to return our country to its foundations. For example, they'd not understand how Congress could create an executive agency that it then doesn't bother to exercise its authority over. People think the president controls the EPA, but it is a congressional agency that only looks like an executive agency. Since Congress won't exercise its authority over it and the President really can't, it just keeps growing and growing without any recourse. And the public doesn't understand it because most of us aren't taught about this special branch of bureaucracy that has really come to operate independent of most oversight. Thank you for stopping by.
